Golf at the Rivers Edge

Playing golf on the edge of the St. Lawrence River defies simple description.

Massive blocks of rough-hewn stone separate the green from the deep, open waters of the seaway. The land itself dictates the approach. You hit high shots over rugged rock faces. You land on greens elevated by natural limestone shelves. The coastal winds add a shifting element to your game.

It is a wild, rewarding challenge. And because there is no public group pressing you from behind, you have the absolute freedom to play it at your own speed.

Designed by the Land

Most courses begin with a blueprint drawn by an architect in a distant office. They create a vision, then move the earth to fit it. Limestone Bay is the exact opposite.

Over the years, the routing was shaped piece by piece. The founders would finish a hole, look across the natural limestone shelves, and find a new approach. They walked the property and traded ideas about where a green should sit.

The result is a course that flows with the topography. Every green and tee box feels like it has always been there. It is a handcrafted environment that respects the authentic character of the St. Lawrence River. There is simply no other course like it in North America – and perhaps the world.
